Fandom: Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Pairing: Yu Shu Lien/Jen Yu

Rating: R (sexuality, adult themes, obscure references)

Spoilers: The whole movie

Disclaimer: Two ladies explore their attraction. I cannot do fight scenes as well as Ang Lee, so I have not attempted that here…yet. These characters belong to Chinese mythology as actualized by Mr. Lee and backed by Sony Pictures Classics. I am just exploring subtextual themes

A/N: All work is archived here, please ask if you would like to take it elsewhere. The title is a reference from my religious practice…Buddhism. I tried to write a love scene that was not totally explicit, but you know, conveyed the intensity.

Feedback: Love that stuff; let me know what you think. BKFAith@hotmail.com

Enjoy!

The day was windless and light as she made her way to Wudan Mountain. It had been long weeks until she could bring herself to Mu Bai’s ashes and bury him next to his master. She closed her eyes against the torrent of emotions. Of course Wudan also reminded her of those passionate, sparse nights she spent with her. Both of them lost to her hand and heart—at least from this world. She shook her head slightly, to clear away such self-indulgent thoughts. She was a warrior and blessed by Buddha to still be alive.

“We’ll be at Wudan Mountain in a few hours.” She spoke to her entourage calmly.

“Only I’ll be allowed to ascend, please wait for my command.”

Rounds of yes Mistress Yu were uttered, but her mind was already elsewhere, keeping a keen eye out while allowing her mind to recall those still and sweet nights of passion with Jen Yu.

*************

“You may stay here, Shu Lien, if you desire.” Jen said this all with soft tones and lowered eyes, her heart pounding with confusion fever for this powerful warrior woman. She could night deny Shu Lien’s beauty or generosity. Even on the first night they fought in the Governor’s courtyard, she had to resist the urge to place her lips gently against the other. But she knew she was the love of Li Mu Bai’s heart. Still.

“Young Sister, you honor me with your request, but I cannot…” Shu Lien began.

“Please don’t deny me. Shu Lien.” There was palpable silence, both women wanting and waiting but not sure of what it was they wanted to utter. Shu Lien looked closely at Jen and her loveliness was apparent, her strength and daring confirmed, but she had softness, a sensuality that was compelling. Shu Lien needed to touch her to understand her. Finally, she relented.

“Yes, Young Sister, I will stay.”

*********

The nights were hot this time of year, but not unbearably so. Jen had the overwhelming, almost supernatural urge to see Shu Lien naked and sweating and asking. She flushed from her own desire but was not daunted. She would have her. And get her to drop the whole “sister” part in the interim. They lie side by side, barely touching; both covered and concealed in their night wear. Jen could feel, hear the heat and excitement coming off of Shu Lien’s presence. She wanted those strong hands on her naked flesh, she needed to see that serious face experience pleasure, she desired her mouth—one she knew would be burning hot.

“Shu Lie..?”

“Jen...?”

They both spoke at the same time and chuckled in embarrassment.

“You first Young Sister” Shu Lien demurred.

“Shu Lien.” Jen affirmed firmly. She hesitated at her next words, for they would be bold and she was not all together sure they would be welcomed.

“It is hard for me to think of you as a sister right now.” Jen spoke so softly and with such timidity, Shu Lien thought she imagined the words.

“Are you angry with me Youn..Jen?

“no…not anngrry” Jen retorted with a grin.

“Forgive me Jen, I do..do not quite understand…” Jen fell in love all over again looking at the furrowed brow of her desire. She spoke boldly.

“Shu Lien,” cupping her hand,” I desire you. Not as a sister, but as a…something more.”

The silence was calming in a manner, the thoughts of both racing in time with their rapidly increasing heartbeats, a thousand and more questions and thoughts racing.

“What if we?”

“But Li Mu Bai?”

“Will anyone hear us?”

“I could be hanged for this.”

“Lo, would understand”

“ I need to touch her.”

Shu Lien spoke first, her last thought being her first words.

“I need to touch you Jen.”

She turned slightly more towards Jen and caressed her face, all the while looking into the eyes of this young girl who was so like her and so different. She was all passion and conviction and rebellion, the softness of her flesh burning an indelible impression onto Shu Lien’s hand.

“I need to touch you Jen.” She reaffirmed.

Jen’s mouth was at once on hers, the passion not decreased by the fervent pace. She needed her, this, to swallow her whole, to feel the pulse of her heart in the thrust of her tongue. To take and be taken. Tonight, she needed what only this beautiful woman warrior could give her.

“Mu Bai forgive me.” was Shu Lien’s last thought of anything or anyone else but this beauty beside her.

She raised herself over Jen’s lovely body so that she could feel her heat, even through their thin clothe, she was overcome by the passion that stirred between them. She reached down to remove her shift, tossing it errantly on the floor. She heard Jen’s gasp and wondered for a moment what caused it, until she felt those hands, somehow cool and hot at the same moment, press into her rounded flesh.

“Jennnnnn” she moaned “Ah, Jen, yes Xiang, Xiang, yes.”

”Shu Lien, remove my shirt.”

The moment they were flesh-to-flesh, uncovered and naked, they both sighed and shivered. Hands moved and were sucked by eager tongues, legs shifted to rest in soft, wet places and mouths touched the most tender and needed spaces on a woman’s body.

Jen tasted of Jasmine rice and smelled of Lotus flowers, she was tight and hot and soft and warm and every other word that inadequately describes what it feels like to be inside of a woman. She was perfection in a small, rebellious body. Black silk was wrested by small hands and older flesh found itself under younger, being sweetly tormented by the most talented of tongues and hands. Shu Lien did not bind when she was bound with strong silk scarves. She did not protest when she was placed in vulnerable, exposing positions. She reveled when she was taken in the basest and yet pleasurable of manners. Powerless. Bound. From Behind. They both experienced Heaven’s Bliss more times than either thought possible. And then they rested.

*********

The early dawn brought some semblance of sanity. Shu Lien watched Jen rest and was sad, for she felt that this would be the only night they shared together. She would cherish it always. Brushing back Jen’s lovely black tendrils, she whispered,

“Jen, my dear, I should be leaving. We wouldn’t want to be found in such a, uh, compromising position.” She added a smirk to lessen sadness.

Jen peered up into the most beautiful black-brown eyes, tracing her fingers over the length of her lover’s face.

“I love you.” She spoke in a whisper.

Shu Lien just smiled. “You are young. You will love another.” Shu Lien started to rise and gather her garments.

Jen grabbed her arm, furious at the flippant response.

“Shu Lien, you! We shared tonight, do not shut me out. Please.” She pleadingly implored

Shu Lien bowed her head in long moments of silence,

“I do not wish to ever shut you out, merely to protect you. From me.” She leaned in with a languorous kiss. “Remember that Young Sister.”

She was out of the bed and clothed before Jen could reply.

“I will Shu Lien.”

Shu Lien returned her a smile and closed the door.

****************

Shu Lien could see Wudan Mountain from were they were camped. She had spent long weeks contemplated her fate and if she could have done anything to save Jen or Mu Bai. All she had of either of them was The Green Destiny and Jade Fox’s death. But they both were gone. Everyone she loved, gone. She turned to grab The Green Destiny, so much bloodshed and life loss for this piece of steal. She would bury it with Mu Bai’s ashes.

“I want no more people I love to die by this or because of this.” She thought with disgust.

It would be a long journey to Wudan Mountain and she needed her rest. Even though her mind would rest, she knew her heart would always wander looking for peace or forgiveness from her two lovers.
